New Covenant Holiness Church was founded between the years of 1886 - 1901.  The first building was a long barn-like style.  The second building was a white wooden building heated by a wood stove.  It was torn down and service was held in a cinderblock dining room.  We worshipped in that small dining room for several years.  The third building, which is now Heavenly Sent Daycare, is a red brick with a fellowship hall.  Elder Douglas Nesbitt became our pastor in 1967.  He came with a vision to build God's Church.  We marched into this building in July 1969.  This church was built debt free.

God in His infinite wisdom had blessed New Covenant with our current pastor, Bishop Linwood Nesbitt who is a servant of God.  God has given him a vision for this church.  Proverbs 29.18 says:  "Where there is no vision the people perish: but he that keepth the law, happy is he."  In 2001, we were blessed to march into our new santuary located at 1020 Dawson Street.  We praise God for the work he has done and is going to do here at New Covenant.  God has blessed New Covenant in the past and he will bless us even more in the years to come.  We will continue to hold on to God and enjoy the well spring of blessings, joy and peace that only can be found in God.

"If you have your bible, and I hope you do.  A soldier on the battlefield needs to have their weapon!  What kind of soldier would go into war without their weapon?  You don't know when you might have to draw your sword!  The bible has warned us that in the last days there will be false prophers - men and women will fashion a doctrine just to tickle your ear.  So you are not fully dressed on your way to church 'til you take your sword and tuck it under your arm."
