I am Elder Eria Nesbitt, Pastor of New Covenant Holiness Church. I was born in Winnabow, North Carolina. At an early age, I moved to Wilmington. I grew up in the Church of God in Christ (COGIC). At a young age, I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior. Later, I moved my membership (along with my family) to Holy Trinity Holy Church. I remained there until shortly after marrying my husband, the great man of God, Bishop Linwood Nesbitt and became a member of New Covenant Holiness Church (NCHC). The title of Elder means overseer and shepherd. Being an elder means you have been selected by God to care for the spiritual growth of the flock. Likewise, you are charged to lead that flock to Christian maturity. As elder, I accept the task and commitment to be a shepherd, guardian, leader, and example for all believers. I must constantly seek the help of God, through prayer and study of his word, so that my service will bring honor to Him and His son, Jesus Christ
In Acts 14:23, Paul and Barnabas appointed elders to every church. having prayer with fasting, they commended them to the Loard in whom they believed. Paul charged the elders of the church in Ephesus to "Be on guard for your flock, among which the Holy spirit has mad you overseers "shepherds". I am a 1972 graduate of John T. Haggard High School. I attended Miller Motte Business College in 1974, receiving my Typing and Bank Teller Certificate. In 1986, I attended CFCC and received my degree in General Office Technology.l From 1997 to 1998, I took home study courses through Moody Bible institute. In 1998, I received my Associate Degree in Biblical Studies from Covenant Christian College (CCC). In 2007, I received my Bachelor Degree in Biblical Studies and my Masters Degree in Pastoral Ministry both from Word of Faith Christian College and Graduate School (WFOC). In 1976, I was blessed in marriage to Bishop Linwood Nesbitt. I thank God for the past 31 years. God has blessed us with a wonderful family. When God has a special work to do, He selects special people. I thank God for considering me faithful and calling me to this service. God has done so much for me and brought me from such a long way in such a short time. Therefor, I know and appreciate how blessed I am to know god as my personal Savior. my desire is to be used by God in whatever way he desires to do so......that He will be glorified! Whatsoever my hands find to do, i will do it with all my might!! Elder Eria Nesbitt
